I was recently trying to research the TopSpeed exhaust as well and I'm more confused now.
This is the website for all the TopSpeed 370z exhaust products.
Pictures below to demonstrate configurations. I believe each configuration is offered with TI or steel construction.
Track Spec (titanium look tips)
Resonator Catback (steel tips)
Silencer Catback (steel tips)
The TopSpeed system that cycy89 has (notice this looks nothing like the 3 systems they offer. It's dual pipes all the way back with individual resonators on each muffler. The tailpipes are screwed on, vs. welded on for all systems on their webpage)
Then there is
THIS one (TopSpeed on eBay) that looks like cycy89's, but has the same part number as the track spec on TopSpeed's website. Aaron from TopSpeed confirmed that auction was for a track spec, but I don't see an option for a resonated track spec on their website nor does this look anything like the track spec at their website.
What gives? Do they have one-off models of exhausts? Are they selling their R&D exhausts? There doesn't seem to be any continuity. Furthermore, the whole thing about selling a product called "resonator catback" but then on the side offering a track spec with resonators adds to the confusion as I believe I've read people referring to cycy89's as the "resonated exhaust" or similar, which would not be correct in their product line.
Here is the response I got when I asked TopSpeed what the difference was between their systems (at the time of this initial inquiry, I was only asking about the 3 option on their website).
"
They all fit 2012, and the differences between track spec, resonator, and silencer systems are sound only, They all produce about the same amount of horsepower. The track one is the loudest then the silencer ones (without silencers), then the resonated one and the most quiet one is the silencers one with silencers on it. Personally i like the resonated one the most, but it is really personally preference. "
You'll notice this response doesn't mention a track spec with resonators. No idea where that would fall.
If anyone has a better understanding of their lineup, let me know. I'm ready to pull the trigger shortly, as soon as I can make heads and tails of the product. Maybe CNT is the way to go.
