If it still consumes oil, get another engine. You are not on the hook for a faulty motor.

Just remember, as others have mentioned, that oil consumption during the first 5000 miles is normal. It should be significant at first and slowly die down to practically nothing.

I'm still consuming over a quart per thousand miles @ 50k on the odo. Went through the same thing with my '06 350z with the rev-up engine, which was notorious for oil consumption issues.

Just feels like another typical Nissan experience.
