I used to park like this all the time when I was 16/17 and working at a grocery store (in Sun City - a 55+ community, so they were all poor drivers).
In fact, it was the slanted parking spaces and I'd park right in the middle to take up four spots. It kept the old people from parking close and hitting my car.
