Of course they are still making a tons of money even if they sell it under msrp. They have to inflate the price in order to stay in business. Think about it. Here's an example how much company inflate prices. take best buy for instance. I know some people that works for them. They can buy a tv stand 5% above cost of what the company pays for. So, a $400 tv stand, the employees get it for just over $200. They have to inflate prices in order to make profit.
So, those 370z that are msrp for $35k, I bet it's roughly half that of what they pay for. I'm sure if they order so many at a time they probably get a discount. That's why I want to try hard to pay under Msrp. But it's going to be hard to wheel and deal them because it's a popular car. If the car wasn't so popular you might be able to negotiate a better price. As for the economy being bad, i want to take advantage of that in hopes I can get a decent deal. But it does suck that our economy is shitty.
