This was my best lap @ 1:24- pretty consistently would run 1:24- 1:25. I was real happy given street tires, Pilot Super Sports, and 100 F ambient. (my oil temp was great 260) This was a race weekend too and best laps being turned in during the races was ~ 1:11/lap. 13 tics of that pace seemed pretty good.

I only had one mishap all weekend. Was pushing hard thru 2-3-4 (
I did this with no other cars around me- I had lots of open room) Anyways made it thru the S's without touching brakes and thought I was perfectly straight coming out of 4 when I rolled on the throttle- no warning I just lost the back end at ~ 80 MPH. Spun pretty violently ( I was actually shocked how violent and the forces generated), think 720, covered about 400' straight line during the spin- oddly enough the spin followed exactly the line I would have driven out of 4 cross track into 5. I ended up at the entrance to 5- pointing in the right direction- checked the mirrors- pushed the start button and stomped on the gas. Over in just a couple seconds- no damage.
I want to stress- I would not push to the limit when in a group / any cars remotely near me or no run off area ( I do not go to the limit at Watkins Glen- no room for error) -I drive very safe and conservative when around other cars - I am in no race but when all by my self I want to see both my limits and cars limits. I found them this time.
