Yeah I've read the DIY for it and it says that no prep is necessary with Krylon Fusion paint. I'm probably gonna just do mines without the prep, but you're free to do whatever you like

Also, thinking about the logistics of this whole thing, it might get a little hectic. There will be around 5 of us doing it. To get the headlights off, we need to take the front bumper off. We will need a jack and some tools to do this (it's very easy) and some place to safely put the 5 front bumpers. We might have to move our cars around with no front bumper or head lights
