Aftermarket wheels require a different type of lug nut - they are a tapered seating style lug, as opposed to our OEM conical style. (might be the other way around, cant remember.)

In any case, OEM lug nuts will NOT seat properly on aftermarket wheels. Vice versa for aftermarket lugs sitting on OEM wheels. They may seem like they hold the wheel, but the contact area is so small, and that will lead to lug failure.
