Most good aftermarket exhaust systems increase the size of the pipes, and alter the flow of the pipes from the cat-back to increase HP. So yea your mod was cheap but probably added about 1hp. As for the tune just do whatever mods you want then get an UpRev tune, you pay for what you get and UpRev is the best tune out there for these cars hands down. You payed a lot for your car don't cheap out.
