I've tried getting the back end out before on my car, but it snaps out fast for me and I always panic too much and let off instinctively. Short wheelbase+wide sticky tires make it so you have to be more familiar with the car, although I'm sure the basics would be the same as most other cars.
Most important though is to find a large open lot that's empty so no one gets pissed.

I had that problem with the stock tires on the sports package (back goes out really quick). That is what I liked about the hankooks even though they have less grip (are much cheaper and last longer and quieter) is that they seem much more predictable when you are loosing traction.
