On certain cars, I think black wheels can look OK. Normally this is only on lighter colored cars where the black wheels contrast more with the light color of the car. But I am not a fan of them most of the time, it makes the wheels look smaller, harder to maintain, and takes away from the design of the wheels.

And everyone around socal has blacked out wheels. I even see grandpas/grandmas driving around with blacked out wheels, so played out.
