you may be able to do it with in, it has been done with the 350Z VQ35DE and VQ35HR but you get a better angle to the installation of the exhaust manifolds and turbos so you can torque them down better. When I took my engine out in my 350Z to put in the built engine I had some nuts missing from the exhaust manifold studs and we did the initial install with the engine in.

If you have the facility and tools the engine comes out relatively easy and you will save yourself a lot of heartache and cussing trying to get to things in tight spaces
