My previous car, before my Z was a 2007 Civic Si. It was fun to drive, high revving, vtec kicking in was cool, and it was pretty nimble, and kinda quick. Different car than a FR-S, but similar power wise, and besides being front wheel drive, probably a better comparison than the 370Z.

The only thing it was missing, was power. 200hp just isn't enough. Downshifting 2 gears to get passing speed sucks. Slamming on the gas and not feeling any pull blows. Unless you were sitting around 5k RPM it drove like a base model civic.

One the other hand, in day to day driving, having an underpowered high revving little car was sometimes more fun than the Z.

I could push the Si, and still be reasonably close to obeying the law, while still having fun. It sounded like I was going fast, and it felt like I was really driving my *** off, but it was still pretty tame.

The Z, you really push it, you are probably going over the speed limit, and probably endangering someone. I have tons of fun driving my Z, but I can never really push it too far in my day to day life.
while i mostly agree with this statement, after driving a 4cyl for years and years now, i dont think i can go back, even if our Z's dont have amazing amounts of torque. just cant do it!!
