So for those of you have have read the books and seen the TV series what do you think about the differences? Which story do you like better? To me they captured the general story and the essence of the books which is more to be said for most of the crap that you see on TV and film.
Also, I have noticed that A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons get significantly more negative reviews on Amazon. Does the series really go downhill after A Storm of Swords (which I am starting to read right now)?

If you enjoyed the first two, I wouldn't really worry about the reviews. Even a mediocre George R.R. Martin book is better than most. I enjoyed reading all of them, and I think if you really
get how he's trying to structure the whole story, you'll like it. You need to have patience with these books because he does like going into detail a lot. I like it. It makes the story vivid and realistic, but most people see the pace as slow moving. Nothing is ever rushed and things happen when they happen....kind of like in real life.
The HBO series really did a great job and I like how it's been adapted so far. They do have to deal with a budget and time contraints, so it inevitable that they would need to change a few things to keep the story moving.
