Both are very capable and drastically different cars. I have a new appreciation for those who track/race manual rear wheel drive cars. I was spoiled with the SST (dual clutch transmission) and all wheel drive.
As for a comparison, the Z feels more responsive to throttle inputs and powerful. The Z's fit and finish is far superior to the Evo (you can tell Mitsu spent the $$ on the drive train). IMHO, the Z looks 100% better than an Evo as well. I have been slightly surprised with how planted the Z feels. I can't wait to get it out on track and feel comfortable driving it fast!
With all that said, my next car will be a GTR! Judging by your avatar you know why.
