#1 Don't worry about about what Mustang owners think, it's not an issue.
#2 The Brz guy is wishing he had your car but needed someone who would listen to him whine (see above) and no one with a decent car was listening. (also see above)
Basically the more they comment about your car the more they are complementing you odd as it may sound.
Of course if you have a huge aluminium wing, louder exhaust than a B52 and rims with spinners you may have deserved the comment...
