First of all.
I am Russian, born in the Soviet Union days, and for the record, I LOVE BACON.
This makes the argument of communists dont love bacon invalid.
Second, my Z has the base brakes, and I literally have been driving the SH1T out of it for 2+ years. There's no way the base brakes aren't good enough for street driving. The only times I've had a slight issue, is
1) On a hard downshift from 3rd to first, at near redline, the car put some serious power to the rears and jerked me forward, and even then, the fronts did enough work to nearly stop the car very quickly.
2) Hard braking from near top speed to 0, already after heavy use just prior, warmed them up enough for me to feel some serious fade, and still, in the final moments, I was able to lock them up with ease.
My conclusion is, and it has been stated many times, the base brakes are more than enough for regular street driving. I find that more often than not, the road surface and the quality of the pavement makes a much bigger difference. Upgrading the brakes, lines and fluid will only matter if you are doing autoX or tracking.
With that said, I'm going to go make a bacon sandwich.
