We are thinking a $250 lease payment on something around $25K would be ideal. Of course, the accountant is way more fiscally responsible, as everything I suggest hits 30-35K with options and quickly becomes a $400-500 monthly payment. The Acura ILX recently caught her eye, and I had never heard of it. Seems a bit weak imo, but the styling isn't bad, Acura's aren't too bad, and the base model will still be a little more premium than a Honda or something.

hey the ILX is pretty cool, i think. it's using the same chassis as the civic, but boasts more luxury. honestly though, if saving money is the goal i would get something like the new honda accord if honda is the brand of choice...and just keep the payments low. it's not a bad car, just not exciting in any way shape or form. the coupe is a little sportier looking but the sedan imho looks better for the current-gen 4banger versions.
my local honda dealer priced one out for me a while back and came cheaper than a FitSport. lol especially the lease was a great deal. one of the staff at work wanted to get one and had me talk to the usual sales guy at honda.
