Today is her last day at her job, and we've got so many events coming up in the next month that the new car has taken a bit of a back seat, which happens to be one of our requirements.

It keeps coming up randomly in conversation, though. At this point she's decided to sacrifice on the car for something that's cheaper and more economical (more saving and spending $$$ is always good). We are thinking a $250 lease payment on something around $25K would be ideal. Of course, the accountant is way more fiscally responsible, as everything I suggest hits 30-35K with options and quickly becomes a $400-500 monthly payment. The Acura ILX recently caught her eye, and I had never heard of it. Seems a bit weak imo, but the styling isn't bad, Acura's aren't too bad, and the base model will still be a little more premium than a Honda or something. Any input is always welcome.
