Default Setting up TPMS on winter rims.

I'm considering purchasing an extra set of rims with TPMS sensors and Blizzack LM-60's for the rubber from TireRack, but there seems to be no clear answer to registering the new TPMS sensors. The service manual mentions using "Consult" which is Nissan's OBDII device. I've seen the "Consult III" vehicle interface and software for sale on the web for about $400. Has anyone tried it? Does it work on any laptop? The ATEQ Quickset is a nice tool but will it allow you to register new TPMS sensors on a 2012 370Z?

My other option is to run all season tires on the original rims like Continental's Extreme Contact DWS.
