I went from a 350z to a C6 to a 370z.
This is just me talking and I'm no expert, but I am a track junkie.
The corvette is fast, however the C5 and 370 are close in HP, not in torque though.
I run faster lap times in the 370 than I did in the C6, although my experience level is also up. When I first came back to the Z though, I was running the same lap times as C6.
It all comes down to what you like. Both are extremely capable cars, I am just more comfortable with the feedback that my Z gives me as opposed to the C6. For my driving style, I'll take the Z any day.
However, that being said, you can get a new C6 for around 42, and if you like the vette more after driving both, you can't go wrong. And, if you do get the vette, I can powdercoat your calipers
