I feel your pain...hit a deer in my Z Roadster last Thursday night coming home from the gym after work. Not one of my better nights either. I was following my Brother in his Eclipse at the time, probably five car lengths behind @ 45-50 MPH. Deer ran out just behind him, in front of me. He saw it in the rear-view and came back to help, and a good samaritan who was in traffic behind stopped and moved what was left of the deer out of the road. (Couldn't say the same for the EIGHT police cars that drove right by me stranded in the center lane and never even slowed down to offer ANY assistance during the 45 minutes I sat and waited for the tow truck...but that's a whole 'nother story. )

Anyways...mine hit on the right-front corner. Basically, headlight hit right between front and back legs of the deer as it tried to cut across the nose. The deer kinda flipped up and over the passenger side, and managed to miss the rest of the side/roof of the car somehow. So far the estimate is hovering in the $4200 range. New nose, right quarter, lots of plastic liners, right headlight, washer reservoir, and radiator support (cracked, but apparently no damage to radiator itself). Hood had a few dents, too, but deemed repairable.

As for insurance. State Farm covering under comprehensive, so I'm out the $250 deductable. Mixed feeling with them at the moment. They have agreed to the cost of replacing the clear bra which I figured I'd be screwed on, but then pi$$ed me off that they aren't providing a rental car, so that is out-of-pocket. Apparently you have to add that to the policy separately, which I never knew. (Lesson to everyone else...you might want to see if your policy covers rentals before you need one, or if you have to add that to the policy separately like with State Farm.)
