Go up to the DOT 5 fluid and you'll notice a big improvement. The lines will help with pedal feel, but won't do a whole lot for temperatures.

I'd invest in a decent IR temp gun and next time you get the brakes hot see if it's the rotors or the calipers that are generating the most heat. Once you have that figured out, you can start addressing cooling.
