The wife, my brother-n-law, his girlfriend, and I went to visit my sister-n-law who lives in Vermont near the border of Canada. On the way back, I missed a turn because although the GPS was correct -- that I should have made a left turn -- the "DO NOT ENTER" sign threw me off. It turns out that I should have made a left turn immediately AFTER the "DO NOT ENTER road." By the time that I discovered this, I had already passed my turn heading towards the Canadian border; it was pitch black out there in the boonies.

Anyway, I knew that I needed to turn around but there was a vehicle behind me so I couldn't simply turn around. I slowed down, expecting him to pass me but he didn't. Then, I stopped and waved to him to go by me, but he didn't. Then the vehicle flashed a yellow light. Then, I performed a 3-point turn to turn around, and then when I stopped next to the vehicle, I noticed the writing on the side of his vehicle, "Border Patrol."

The guy asked me where I was going. I told him that I missed my turn back there so I needed to turn around. Then, he asked where we had come from. My wife told him because I forgot my sister-n-law's address. This place is bonniesville to those who live in the boonies! Then, he asked where we were going and my wife told him -- Essex Junction, VT. He described the roads that we should take and they sounded familiar so I acknowledged with a "Yes. Yes. That's where we need to go." Then, we parted ways. We found our way back to my father-n-law's house.

This was a very interesting night.
