So I finally figured out what I think has been going on. You tell me if this makes sense. I installed the DDL and ever since, it seems that when I turn them on, about 15 minutes later, my TPMS flashes and indicates "malfunction". Went to the dealership today and they reset the codes. Stated that because it wasn't on when I arrived, they can't tell which one. Thinking about the fact that I've never been losing tire pressure, that something else is up. Tested the theory on my way home that if the DDL's are off, no TPMS errors. If I turn them on, then about 15 minutes later it flashed again. This time I immediately turned them off and the TPMS flashing went away. Since the TPMS is wireless, I started thinking that the DDL's are somehow transmitting a pulse or signal that must be interrupting the TPMS. Called CARiD's technical support and believe it or not, these DDL's actually submit a radio signal (why I don't know) that if too close to the front tires, could affect the TPMS. They said the solution is to cover the backs of these with aluminum foil and that should keep the signal from interfering. I'm not sure to laugh at this or to seriously do this. I'm going to laugh my *** off if this is really the problem and the solution.
