The epoxy resins I've used have held up without a hitch. I bought a few yards of twill weave CF and epoxy resin just to play around with. My first project was a replacement handle for our dryer when the cheap stock handle cracked. A problem I found was common on this particular Kenmore Elite after a little research. (I also found that most home appliance complaints came from women who repeatedly broke their equipment by forcibly opening the doors once they had locked closed, and then subsequently called for class-action lawsuits against the manufacturer.)
Clothes dry 20% faster now.

I'll have to see if my carbon fiber supplier is still open. I haven't fabricated anything with carbon fiber/Kevlar for ~10 years. Sounds like the same stuff is used. Thanks guys
