I'm in Boston this weekend with the wife, celebrating my MIT 25-year reunion. I decided to pickup some MIT stickers to put on the Z. One will fill the space that I left after removing the right sticker after putting it on the left side. Oh well, 370Z forum on the left side and MIT on the other. I guess that it was meant to be that way.
I bought a few other things, too -- a mug, a few water bottles, a sweat shirt, a few T shirts, etc. I might as well. The 25th doesn't come around every day. ;-)
What's interesting is that my wife's grandfather was an MIT graduate, and his first name was Warren (passed away recently at age 90). My middle name is Warren. Go figure. Truth is stranger than fiction.
As part of the 25, MIT also provided a giant beaver ring. I told my wife that I'm
going to order a big gold chain with large links and put the giant ring on the chain and put it around my neck. Then, I'm gonna
around in the Z with this big rope and ring around my neck.
Actually, the ring is supposed to be a paper weight or something.
Also, a funny thing happened. We parked in a compass parking lot that was filled because all of the Alumni this weekend. An Asian fellow in his van parked right behind me, and I told him that he couldn't park there because I couldn't get out if he did. We compromised. He provided his phone number in case we returned before he returned from work. We decided that more likely, we would return before he would return so it would work out. We asked for his name, and he said, "Just call me Z." What are the odds?
Man, the Z is a bit dirty. I gotta find a safe car wash or wait until I get home.
Now, we're relaxing in the hotel. I'm watching the Bernie Mac (RIP) Show. The wife is in the bathroom. This will be a slow day today mostly. Tonight is our class banquet. It'll be good to see folks from our class that I actually know. We already met a few yesterday at the clam bake.
