This seems like a silly thing to get upset about. Again, the Fairlady badge is a shout out to the Japanese version, not claiming to be one. And it's not like Japanese Fairlady's are in any way significantly better.

People get upset about the stupidest things. If you like the Fairlady badge, get one. If not, then don't.
