I can support the poor engineering claim on the vipers. Lets talk cam timing 370z rotates the cam using oil pressure inside the gear. 08 and up Vipers opt instead to use a HOLLOW Cam with seperate intake lobes mounted to another shaft running down the center of the first one (super hollow there is like no wall thickness to these things). I know a guy who has gone through 3 SETS of cams for his 08 viper with stock redline. He tracks the car maybe twice a month for four months until winter hits. He's had it and ended up making the dealership swap in a solid camshaft.

Oh and even the '09 has an engine that is 127% larger than ours but produces only 80.7% more power and 107% more torque

Oh and it weighs 200lbs more

Oh and I've tracked with a couple mostly stock vipers and sure they had their way with me on the straights but i never saw anything special in the corners so i could keep up in really twisty spots (bad part of that is i recieved one stone chip in my windshiel from his fooken 11.5 in tires with no real bumper behind them and my front end is chipped all to hell to the point where i'm going to want to get a new one eventually.

Oh and on a personal note I was almost carjacked once by three guys when i pulled into a gas station to take a nap on a long drive. I think i drove over one guys foot.
