What I mean regarding addiction and pills versus crack or meth, is many addictions begin with prescription pills after being disabled, the body gains a tolerance, they need more, and after awhile cannot get new prescription refills. The next obvious alternative is a street drug. This is especially true of Opiates and synthetic opioids.
