I play with both, search for threads on the matter and have decided that, srm on, vdc off= smooth ride. If you can't drive this car with the vdc off then you can't drive...point blank. If you can't control your throttle response or your traction control YOURSELF in a mild spin, then you should walk!
Not to hate, but really. This is my 7th Z (which includes a G35) and yes the 1-2 shift feels like a donkey punch, and is unlike all other MTs I've ever had. But in the end, all the electors in the world will not make up for driving knowledge. Next thing you will complain about stopping at red lights on a hill with a MT and that is the reason for getting an AT!!
If you can't drive, you can't drive. If you can't figure it out, get an old ford contour and write Z all over it.
