Default Heavy Rain at Philip Island GP Circuit

Images of T4 at Philip Island from 10 days ago, following torrential down-pour (57mm fell in 45 minutes). Water depth ~ 1metre on the inside of the turn (usually taken flat in 5th at 200+kph).

Anyone got a submarine ..............

Racing was suspended for the day ............ with several lightning strikes, the trackside officials (who communicate with race control via land-line system plugged into their head-sets) were ordered back into the race control building.

Have never seen a day like it .......
