I am having this issue with my headlight lenses as well. I believe the root cause is overspray from the detailing solution that I use. The first thing that I tried was Meguier's headlight cleaning, but with limited sucess. Now that spring has arrived I will be using something a little more aggressive and that is the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit which is a series of sand paper and a polish. It will freak me out at first "frosting" the lens, but I have read that this method works great. I will post some before and after pictures after I am done this weekend. Thanks for posting.
