At our hospital we have an issue with too much overtime. So administration in all their wisdom 1) Removed all the LPNs from the regular floors. 2) Adopted a "fit test" to weed out incoming nurses that the test says don't "fit" into the area they applied to. 3) Hired a consultant firm to tell them their processes area wasting time, which they have made no time saving changes. 4) After merging with a hospital loosing money they adopted their computer system. 5) Added a medication dispersion system that takes twice the time to dispense meds. WTH is all upper management brain dead???
