I was fine with that. They also told us that we had to pay for the tire and we make the claim to the warranty company (that was Tuesday). So I took that as truth and went on with my day. I hadn't heard from them on Wed so I called and they said the tire hadn't gotten there and their parts don't arrive until between 2 and 3. That pisses me off because I felt like they lied to me. It wouldn't have bothered me if they told me 2 or 3 to begin with not the morning. Well needless to say the tire didn't arrive on Wed (so they say). And we got a call at 830 saying it was ready. I couldn't leave work until 10 so me and the wife arrived at 1030. As we got to the service desk the lady asked who told us it was ready. We told her we got a call. She went in to say that she hadn't received payment yet. So that confused us. Long story short. They were supposed to put in for the warranty claim not us and they should have done it on tuesday. Well the service manager came over and said that he couldn't release the car until he had payment and the company was holding the check for 24 hrs. He must have saw my face turning to ape sh!t mode because he then said "I'll take the risk and release it today"
Again nothing would have been a problem with me if they were upfront the whole time. The delays and story changing makes them look unprofessional and second rate. I thought you go to the dealership because they are better equipped and trained.
Well at least I got my car back.

I've had experiences like this with dealerships and outside garages. I'm very direct with places like this, and I have a rigid backbone.
I was lied to by a CarMax when I wanted to get my new tires mounted on my new wheels. They told me they couldn't place an appointment so early, and I should call back the day before. I call back the day before, and they're full booked. Lady says she could go talk to a service guy and see if he'd squeeze me in. I said, "Nope, don't bother. I'm taking my business elsewhere."
