Its probably still best if you just sell or trade the car off on something else.

What did they do to correct all the drywall screws put into the rocker panel area.

This area should have been spot welded in place and properly sealed. Once area is properly fixed the repair should be undetectable.

From the pictures it looks like they just hammered in the screw areas and then used bondo and resprayed them.

Since you live in a very damp state and driving the car in the rain or left in a moisture will tend to cause rust around every screw they put in the panels and then the paint will blister and lift.

You should have really settled for more than a $1000 for this case and had another professional shop do the work correctly.

Before you have a body shop do any work you need to make sure that they have enough professional tools and experienced body shop workers.
Make sure you see some shop guys that are at least in there late 20's and 30 and up.

If you see a lot of young kids take your car and run.

Ask for a tour showing the following tools, if they don't have one of these items, most likely they are hacks.

1. professional down draft paint booth separate from body shop area, note you can't paint a car in the same building where body work is done, ( to much dust etc.)
2. Welders- spot welders, oxy/acc, mig welders etc.
3. frame straightening machine.
4. Electric Weld on dent pullers, if they say they drill holes, to pull dents than run.

Listed above are the basics for any body shops, anyless and they are not professionals.
