Well if you take it in, usually the dealer is going to charge a premature " diagnosis fee " that you may end up having to sign for to look at the vehicle regardless if its under warranty or not and if they don't find anything, you might be assessed a fee for the time looking into these issues and if something is found that is covered, naturally it will be fixed at no cost and if they find something else that isn't covered they will ask you get it fixed and if you decide not to they will then usually charge you for the original "diagnosis " or inspection fee for the dealers or techs time of looking over the vehicle
