I used VPP to buy my 370 the second week they went on sale in January. The only trick was I had to pay list because it was the second or third Z delivered to my local dealerships.
However the local Infiniti dealership, which just happens to be located a couple of miles from the Nissan corporate offices in Nashville, charges an upfront "market adjustment" if they have to do a VPP sale. I guess they get away with it because so many Nissan corporate and Smyrna plant employees want to drive a new Infiniti from a dealership close to where they work. If you want to get a discount you have to go to Knoxville 200 miles away to get a deal and use VPP on an Infiniti.
They are just wrong to do this, they should be happy to have the business instead of punishing dedicated Nissan employees. At least they don't try to hide it, it's spelled out right up front, "VPP market adjustment". aholes
