well, I made it required because people have a tendency to NOT fill out their profile. If they don't fill it out this field, then it doesn't show up in the post bit. So, it's right back to where we started -- no "at a glance info" on what they drive.

Location and drives are the ONLY required option here in our forums. You guys make all the decisions around here so if you guys want it to be "not required",that can also be done.
