can any one explain why that is? At first I imagined it was just the time to get the oil circulating.. but it almost seems like a valve is open of some sort.. then closes?
I love that open throat-ed sound! I can only imagine what its like with LTH, HFC's, and F. I. CBE!

Cold start means the engine is cold not that it's cold outside. It can be 110 outside, and you will still have a cold start. All new cars rev higher than idle when you first start a cold car.
