Need help and was curious if anyone can give their help. I am replacing the front wheel bearings on my 2001 Ford Escape. I have been following the directions I found here:
Escape-Central - Step-By-Step: Changing front wheel bearings
I am to the point where I am pulling the assembly through the knuckle and the little canister tool is so hard to turn the bolt to pull the old bearing out that we have broken 2 1/2" drive breaker bars due to torque force.
I am thinking of getting a 3/4" drive breaker bar and socket, but am debating of trying to reverse it back out because I am nervous about it getting stuck.
Any thoughts?
