got it at Grubbs Nissan in Hurst, TX. they are about 5 miles from my house. they had to dealer trade with McDavid down in Houston to get the car. I actually had ordered a Monterray Blue 2012 but it was taking so long to get it that I found the gray one and they got it for me. also scored the 0% financing that NMAC is offering now.

Huge difference in trannies. are you asking about the differences between the S2000 and the Z? if so, then I had really liked the S2000 powertrain; with the high red-line on the engine and low torque it was almost like driving a sportbike (which I did until an accident about 2 years ago). Very short throw shifter and could downshift at almost any speed without worrying about the rev limiter kicking in. I bought the car thinking I would put it on the track but just never did. The Z powertrain has a whole lot more torque so shifting was a little challenging to re-learn. It seems like the clutch engages a little later and the throw of the shifter is definitely longer. But the thing I like most is the "S" mode! when I started driving the wife's, I knew I had to have one. It's like heel-toe shifting without the bother.

If you are asking about the differences between the Z auto and manual then I definitely like the manual much, much better. Never really liked an auto in a sportier car (my truck is auto but that's ok). I tried the whole paddle shifter thing with the auto but never got the hang of it. it just seemed not very responsive (especially after driving sport bikes on a race track). the manual is a bit of a pain in rush hour traffic but that's ok too.

Now, if you are asking about the difference between trannies between the 2011 coupe and roadster then... when i picked up the roadster i thought the tranny was smoother than the wife's coupe (a lot smoother - thinking i was going to take her's back to the dealer to see if it could be adjusted somehow). but then, I had to move the cars around yesterday so I could detail the roadster and when I drove the coupe it seemed a lot smoother. I think i was having a hard time going back and forth between the the S2000 and the coupe but not sure.

Bottom line is I love the manual tranny in the Z (especially the 'S' mode)!

Hope one of these answered your question.
