I have a 17-35/f2.8, it works very good with the film camera, but I find after the 1.5x with the DSLR, it is not quite wide enough.

I have the Tokina 11-16/f2.8, not an expensive lens but the wide angle range is the only on the market, a bit noisy cos it doesn't have motor.
Maybe add it on your next "distracted list"???  |
