4/3/12 UPDATE:
Hey guys,
Here is the layout for the event.
It can always change but this should be close to how its going to be.
Drivers & Show cars will need to be in BEFORE 7:45 AM! SO I highly recommend getting there by 6am-7am. If you're not there by 7:45am, the gates will be closed and you will not be able to drive or show. This is due to the track also being the entry point.
Car's with low ride height should enter from the Harlem entrance. 71st st entrance is not super low car friendly.
Vendors will also need to be there by 7:45am.
Drifters will need to park your cars and trailers in the PITS area only.
Show cars will need to goto the CARSHOW area and get positioned by STAFF members.
Drivers meeting will be at 8:30am and track will be HOT right after the meeting.
Spectators - Gates open at 9am and you will need to enter thru the 71st st, into the General Parking area. You'll need to walk thru the Walkway and goto the Carshow area. Spectating will be only allowed from the carshow area.
Drifting - There will be 3 groups. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. We will be doing 20min sessions for each group. Advanced will start at A, Intermediate B, Beginner C. There will be 2 course layout, beginner and intermediate will follow the RED line. Advanced will follow the Grey line for higher speed.
There will be a mandatory lunch break from 12-1, track will be cold, so spectators will be allowed to walk to the pits to check out the drift cars.
Food trucks will be there in the north end.
At 4:30 the track will close and show car winners will be announced.
The judging criteria and categories have been hammered out. We really want to emphasize the Chicago Import Scene and show off what we do here.
Judging will start at 10AM, and we hope to have it over as quickly as possible so we can all go enjoy the the rest of the show.
Automass Judging Info
Multiple judges will judge each car, using an Olympic style judging system, with 3 criteria being judged. The average of each criteria will be your final score.
The 3 criteria are:
- Style
- Build Quality
- Condition
Style applies to the overall look and theme of the car. How cohesive the look and design of the car is will be a big factor. Excess parts will be counted against the score.
Build Quality applies to the number of mods, the quality of the parts as well as installation, difficulty of install, as well as rarity.
Condition applies to the paint and body of the car, as well as wear and tear on the interior, engine bay, etc.
With this system, a car that scores really well in build quality and style, yet gets beat on still has a very good chance of winning against a car with a huge modlist and 20 tv's. So, no one has any reason to not bring their car to the show!
The categories will be as follows:
Best of Show
Best Make, IE Best Nissan/Infiniti, Best Toyota/Lexus, Best Honda/Acura, etc. We will add 1 trophy for every 5 cars in a make, up to a maximim of 3.
Best Model, IE Best S-Chassis. This will also be determined by how many of each model are registered. A minimum number will need to be reached.
Stance award. Since stance is so subjective, we are giving out three awards for stance, all of equal standing.
Best Vinyl. Decals, graphics, and vinyl wraps all apply.
White Glove Competition. Think you are the best detailer around? Prove it!
Best Performance/Engineered Vehicle.
Best Street Driven Vehicle 1st-3rd
Best old School (pre-'88). Must have at least 5 cars eligible for this category to have an award.
Best Crew. This will be determined by the number of cars entered, average score of all cars, team display, etc...
