Mr.onzedge, good eyes!!! I call myself a stubborn photography hobbyist which doesn't like to rely on photoshop add-on, so I like using filter instead.

This may sound weird -- it is an old trick I learned early in my photographic endeavors. A starlight filter is cool and all, but it you want some unique star effects, get some pantyhose or stocking material from the Mrs. or whomever. Get a rubber band. Cut a piece of the nylon material and stretch it out across the end of your lens, securing it with the rubber band. We used to make starlight filter this way when we were broke, but they work quite well. You can play around with how tight you stretch it to get different effects.
