Not necessarily. Unless you're in a wind tunnel the cooling fan used in your typical dyno shop is not going to come close to simulating airflow at speed in 5th gear. Having the hood open with the fan in on full blast is probably going to be a little more accurate. The only difference I can imagine is that it might slightly reduce the impact of heat soak.
