I'd still be concerned about hydroplaning with the RE-11s at speed, especially if they are half way worn. I know the Star Specs are not the nicest tires once they wear down some in the wet.

they probably arent the best, but I would still pick them over a lot of other tires. I did a track day in pouring rain. It held its own, I am sure 285 doesnt help
