It's quite a bit more work to do a one-off job. It's a whole other ball of wax to develop a kit for production. Every nut and bolt must be accounted for and most importantly, every component must be designed to be manufactured with repeatable tolerances for a reasonable cost. Not to mention have everything work as planned.
