The Z1 Oil Cooler Kit will work just fine with the factory oil cooler on the 2012. The direction sheet should have the added info regarding the clocking position of the sandwich plate for the 2012 models.

We have had NUMEROUS customers in Austrailia and the Middle East successfully install our Z1 Oil Cooler kits onto their cars in past years without any issues. The Middle Eastern and Austrailian spec 370Z's have had the USDM 2012 factory oil cooler since the beginning.

I will try to dig up some of the pics I have that a few Austrailian owners sent me of their installs.
