'Significant' I dunno, that would depend on what your definition is of 'significant'. In the FI LTH thread seen here:
Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers are here! Tony dyno's the LTH's vs HFC's, not TP's.
You will still have the same smell as there are no cats in the way, but you will have a noticable difference in the sound/smoothness of the engine through the RPM band. That was one of my biggest :eeks: moments about it was revving was almost instant redline.
Here's the best video I can give you to show you what you can expect with a LTH setup:
I'll idle for a bit for a warm start, then rev to 2k, 3k, and then 5k rpms, then a standing start, VDC on. A rolling start and then a start heading toward the cam so you can hear how it sounds coming to the camera, very quiet in front of the car.
Then here's a 5th gear dyno video. Part one in front of tips, part 2 behind tips. Once it gets to part 2, you might wanna turn down the volume a bit as it 'screams' quite literally.
The mic on my phone couldn't handle the volume.
