PSS is more of a street tire that reaches up to track status. RE-11 is more of a track tire suitable for the street. While the PSS will grip just as well, from what I understand they don't withstand extended track time without chunking.

Though I have read it does take a pretty long and hard session (that's what she said) to get them to chunk (that's also what she said). Nonetheless they won't be as durable as the RE11.
